So i was on adobe premiere pro which is on my SSD, then my PC crashed and went to the BIOS screen. Now i cant choose the SSD which the OS is installed because its not being detected in the boot priority so im locked from accessing my pc now.

I tried the usual restarting the PC, unplugging it, reconnecting the ssd, resetting bios settings, nothing too advanced tho.

Is there anything else i can do before i spend hundreds of dollars getting my pc repaired?

MB: Z370 gaming ms (ms-7B58)
Cpu: intel i7 8700k 3.70ghz
BIOS ver E7B58IMS. 120

Update: I went to "storage" in the bios and i can see in sata port 1 SATAFIRM S11 size 240GB and sata port 2 ST2000DM006-2D but both have "hot plug" disabled. Don't know of thats normal or not?

Another Update: I swapped the SSD from SATA port 1 to 3 and the change is definitely there in the BIOS in the storage settings. It now shows SATA port 1 "not present" and now SATA port 3 shows SATAFIRM S11 etc... but I still can not select it in the boot order or even see it in the BBS. Only in storage settings.

that the default setting. with the ssd...power down see if the ssd went into a safe mode state due to power drop. you may have to connect it to another pc run some vendor test tools/firmware to see if the drive is fine. from another pc make a windows bootable usb stick see if whe nyou boot from the windows installer it sees both drives.

I dont have another PC to connect to. I pressed F 11 during startup, it detects the SSD as a boot device, but when i press enter my screen flashes the msi logo on and off then goes back to the boot device menu to no avail. The only other option is "enter setup" which brings me back to the bios.

Ive asked other people and they suggested I can revert the PC to a previous state but when i look up how to get to the command prompt screen in bios i cant find it, nor is it in the motherboard manual. Others have said it could be an OS issue and I may need to reinstall my OS, I dont know how to do that either and finding information online how to do that isn't turning up any results either.

if you have windows 10 on a disk or usb stick change the boot order in windows to it. when windows 10 boots from the disk or usb stick. you can run some diskpart and disktool commands.if you dont need the data on the ssd you can see if you can delete the partion on the ssd and reload windows.

I did that as well and it doesnt even read the disc, i press f11 with the windows 10 disc in the proper boot order and it doesnt read it, it still only says "windows boot manager (P0: SATAFIRM S11)". And when i dont press F11 it just brings me back to the bios.

Update: Just bought a new SSD, problem solved.
