Are you connecting via a wired or wireless interface? If wireless, it is possible that your router is configured to only allow admin access via a wired connection.

i'm connected through a extender so wired and wireless if that makes sense

Understood (I have the same on a segment of my network). Try accessing the router from a direct wired connection (if possible).

I tried to see if it worked on my phone first because i'm to lazy to go downstairs and dig out my laptop and hook it up and it worked on my phone so i don't know, now i need to figure out how to setup port forwarding for a minecraft server, do you know how to do that?

It depends on the router in question. Have you consulted your manual? What specific make/model router do you have?

Your original issue could be an excluded IP/MAC address as well. Doesn't seem likely. Are you using a fixed IP or DHCP on the original system in your original question?

Naming, yes. The port depends on what you minecraft server needs.

what does this mean? "You must open the TCP port (default is 25565) on the firewall." I'm bad with IPs and stuff but trying to learn
