is it possible to log DNS requests? Im trying to crack
down on the missuse of our network at lunch times. Is it
possible to view which computers are requesting which
Domain names? I know there is software on the market for
this but we have a limited buget.

Thanks

Yes it is possible to log DNS requests, but I wouldn't use it for a long
term solution. This put a lot of extraload on the DNS server because it
takes a lot of resources for DNS to write the log.
Good proxy servers can do what you want, even block access to sites and
servers. Some can even scan web sites and email for viruses, worms and
malicious scripts. Even the good proxy server are relatively inexpensive,
most are licensed by the number of concurrent users, which means that you
don't have to have a license for every user, they are usually under $100 for
six concurrent users.
