Is there any difference between the LOGITECH CORDLESS DESKTOP PRO COMBO and the LOGITECH CORDLESS FREEDOM PRO COMBO besides the price? (the desktop pro is a little more)

Yes, the Logitech Cordless Freedom Optical has considerably more features, and probably has the best key feel I've felt since the ThinkPad 600 Laptop.

It's a new keyboard, and it's not on Logitech's site yet.

It's black and grey, with a matching optical cordless mouse.

Highly recommended.
