Logitech C525 not recognised as a playback device.

Recently my turtle beach px21 headset have broken and so to fill the gap between getting a new headset I have had to use my webcam (Logitech C525).
The webcam works perfectly in every way other than as a speaker, absolutely no sound comes out of it and it is not recognised in playback settings.
I have tried reinstalling drivers but nothing seems to be working, please help!
