Logitech Cordless MX Duo - Broken Keyboard?

Well when I bought all my new stuff I think I got a little too excited "Oh man finally I have the money to buy a GOOD computer" because I didn't do complete research on some of my components.

Anyways, this Logitech Cordless MX Duo sounded awesome. And yes the MX700 is uber, even without drivers (i've had problems with logitech mouse drivers, dont ask :p). But the keyboard... ohhhh the keyboard. It fails to receive probably half of what i type, depending on angle, etc, no matter where the receiver is. WHen I originally had to hit the button on back to "connect" it, I don't know if it even worked, it didn't seem to recognize that I was even hitting the button.

Plus, I CAN'T put it in secure mode. I go to the Secore Keyboard screen through the drivers, and do Shift+Alt+F12 (if my memory serves) and NOTHING HAPPENS.

Another horrible thing. All the "advanced keys" do nothing what they're supposed to. F-Lock does Next Track, Next Tracks loads an IM client, etc etc.

Please help, i'm going insane!!

"How could I be broke? I had 6 million dollars in the bank!"
"Yeah... remember that time when you bought the Six Million Dollar Man?"
"HELL yeah! ... ... Oh."

I have the mx duo too, I have had no problems works a tit for me.

As for the reception, did you take the time to read the instructions?
Anyway the sender receiver must not be to close to (strong) electrical or metal objects. Another thing that could interfere with your reception is your videocard (the ramdac emmits a interference signal if the filter doesn't work properly.

As for the fuction keys; I understood from your message that you probably didn't install the drivers, the function keys won't work without it (dispite the reciever flock light going on and off), the volume keys ect. do seem to work.

Maybe you sould just redo the connecting part

If all else fails; read the manual

sorry misread the flock thing, prob. just an artifact of the send recieve error.

Try some where else in the house (might be some sort of interference) otherwise go back to the store and try it there.

For your info; my mouse and keyboard have about 2.5-3m of reach.

Hope it helpsb
