Yesterday, I shut the pc down for the first time in 2 weeks. Now from shutdown, I have no keyboard, yet no keyboard error. If I do a restart, keyboard works just fine. The only temporary fix I have from shutdown is to pull the USB from pc and reinsert (top right or left makes no difference) and then the keyboard works fine again till shutdown.

I've updated all drivers, USB drivers, root drivers, controllers, both Intel and renasus stuff, and I'm at a loss.

Anyone have a clue?

Tried a p/s2 kb, worked fine after reboot, tried every USB in front and rear, kb don't work at all except for top 2 slots in rear. It's wierd, because a reset, all is good, its only on a full shutdown that probs occur. USB out then back in, and kb works fine. It's almost like it's a USB port issue, not a kb one.

Already did that, running latest 10-30-13 bios, didn't do anything as it was a reinstall of the bios I already had. Even switched to secondary bios with a clean bios dl, no change. Uninstall, boot, reinstall latest Intel USB drivers. No change anywhere. Kb works normally on kids Athlon II pc, so it's not the kb. USB mouse works fine, either port, and extras like cell phone work/charge after boot, just not the kb unless I unplug/plug it back in after a hard boot. Restart and it works, hard boot and it dont.
