Question Logitech g27 cable was cut off...

Tldr, i bought a used g27, and aome buttons weren't working, and the previous owner told me that there is a connector unplugged, so when i opened the wheel the other connector was cut off, is there a way to diy it to work??

You could recrimp the wires to the pins and then reattach them to the connector but I'm worried why the wires would be cut...?

The wire accidentally broke while i was taking it apart, and i dont think i have the tools for recrimping it, i was thinking would it work if i get rid of the connector anr strip the cables and tape or solder them to the pins?
