Logitech G27 racing wheel worth it?

hey guys im looking to buy a racing wheel
i currently like the Logitech Driving Force GT
i think its got everything that someone like me would want

however ive heard a lot about the logitech g27
all i want to know is that is the g27 worth the more than double price of the DFGT?
what are the major differences?

For something like this... it's better for you to rely on your own personal beliefs. The value or worth of a product depends on the individual person.. so if it's something you're interested in... then you should buy it. If you don't like it you could always return it.

the major differences are the g27 is better in almost every way.

it has better gearing for force feed back (helical), an actual gearstick, 3 pedals (with resistance) and a nicer wheel (leather)

whist the driving force gt has:
weaker gearing (plus its noisey), an up down gear stick, 2 pedals (with little if any resistance) and a plastic wheel but has better buttons as they are labelled in accordance with the ps3

im not saying the driving force gt is a bad wheel, its just the g27 has more features which are better than the lets face it stickers on buttons.

i own both wheels, first the DFGT then the G27, the difference in FFB is not huge to be honest, however the pedals are night and day

i should note that these two wheels will not work on any xbox console nor the ps4. fine on PC however

I have the dfgt its amazing but I don't like the sequential gear shifter but later this year Logitech are releasing the g 29 and there releasing a separate h- shifter for 50 euro which if it works with the dfgt im getting it.

are they really that bad?
i dont think ill be using the shiter too ofthen though

It is worth it, but g29 is out now to if u have a xbox or ps4. I have had a g27 for five years and love it,only thing I don't like about it is there's to much play in the wheel but nothing u can't dial in and fix.

Even tho I dislike Logitech right now for putting out the same wheel,I would buy the G29 so u can use it on xbox,ps4,pc there's two different ones too for xbox and ps4.

Plus u can upgrade the pedals if u want too.

I would go with the DGFT,I have both of those games too.

If u not racing any sim games go with DGFT. I just like FFB ony G27 with i racing and rfactor etc....

f1 is not a full sim, it lacks a number of features to qualify. but it is a good game in my opinion
project cars is classed as a sim, and will really benefit from a wheel

what is not arcade can be sim-cade or sim. codemasters f1 games are usually described as sim-cade as people dont believe they are realistic enough to be a full sim.

the g27 has great ffb in pretty much every game, it really depends on whether it is supported or not. the DFGT also has good ffb which is not as good as but pretty similar to the g27's
another thing to note is the diameter difference int he wheel rims. the g27 is arguably more comfortable since is slightly thicker, but also made of leather rather than plastic

the pedal shifters (im assuming you mean paddles) are not easily accessible on the DFGT. however you can buy 3rd party paddles that replace the buttons with more g27 esk ones. there is also an up/down lever on the dfgt which is often mapped ingame to the same buttons as the paddles.

the pedals are the worst aspect of the DFGT, by a long way. the accelerator has little if any resistance, whilst the brake has a little bit more but neither even come close to the g27, it is very easy to lock up with the DFGT in most racing gmaes, unless you race with abs on. since the brake is pretty much on or off. another important point is the lack of clutch in the DFGT. this doesnt matter for f1, but could do in project cars.

i recently upgraded to a g27 from DFGT, it makes games much better.
