Logitech G700s if wired hangs PC when going to sleep

If the Logitech G700s is plugged to its USB cable (for recharging) and later the PC goes into sleep (whether on its own or by pressing the case button), the PC enters a semi-sleep state. It needs a hard reboot and a visit to the BIOS to have the PC operational again. This is a systematic failure. Luckily, other than the annoyance, it has no further effect on the PC.

The details:
My new G700s is working perfectly, wireless or wired, with the following proviso. If have it wired (typically for recharging) when the computer goes to sleep (either on its own or pushing the case button), this sequence follows:
1) the PC enters an abnormal state: the sleep light blinks, but the hard disks keep spinning.
2) the PC becomes irresponsive to anything, and only a hard reboot can restart it.
3) the reboot fails with a memory check following by an "overclocking error" (there is no overclocking).
4) the only way out of this is to enter the BIOS, exit with save and reboot.
5) after the usual "(Windows did not shutdown properly") message, the PC works OK again.

It is now apparent that the only cause of the behavoiur is the PC entering sleep while G700s is connected to the USB cable, because otherwise my PC performs flawlessly.

For the time being, I am recharging the G700s outside the PC using USB cable into mains adapter.

Anybody else with this issue? Is it an incompatibility with my motherboard? Any solution?
I have posted the above in Logitech's forum a month ago. There have been no answers.

Solution
The G700s drivers are brutally written by Logitech, with so many issues, its amazing how their gaming peripherals still are being sold.

My G700s latest drivers interfere with my G35 headset, and the Logitech Gaming Software (8.50) seems to be poorly excecuted.

Have you tried downgrading to the 8.40 Gaming Software drivers?
Once you downgrade, it will be a small hassle to get the software to detect the G700s though.

Thanks Martinle. I find the annoyance minor compared with the issues reported using versions prior to 8.50: mind that I also have a G13 Gamepad and it shares beautifully the driver with the G700s.
