Bought this item this afternoon... What a GREAT piece of
engineering... Quick, slick and the first mouse to fit my big old meat
hook... Really happy with it.... Lots of buttons that can be
programmed to anything you want...

Right on! I also have big hands and the MX 1000 fits perfectly, It feels "
Just right " , Best mouse I've ever used. I get 12 to 15 days between
charges , which is much better than my MX 700 Which I passed on to my son.

They look nice. I'm very happy with my mx700.

Was looking at this the other day. I have the tried and trusted optical
intellimouse here and love it - quick question - noted your comment on
lots of buttons that can be programmed but just how many buttons does it
have? Considering replacing a tried and trusted optical intellimouse

Yes Strider, the MX 700 was very good for me too, I liked it very much, And
my son is also very pleased with it. The MX 1000 was an Xmas gift from my
wife, ( Sure beats 6 pairs of socks ).

on the left side configurable to any keyboard movement or letters...

I still use my original Razer Boomslang 2000. I like it so much I bought a
spare one. Yeah, it is a rollerball mouse, but it still is the most precice
thing I have ever used.

It is much like the MX 700, which is a great mouse in itself, IThe MX 1000
fits my hand better but that's me.
Battery charge life is longer, But I find no real big difference in actual
operation. If I had an MX 700 I would not spend $100 cdn for the MX 1000,
But it was a Christmas gift from my wife. I like the MX700 software better
than the new one, The new software does not do some things as well as the
old. So all in all they are both excellent devices.

It's only in beta and not for everyone but the option to set up
different profiles is great. Unfortunately, it doesn't support my new
wireless mouse. :-( It did great on my MX700.
