Well, I havent found that to be the case and I've been buying adventure
games for the last 14 years. I have found that Future Shop mostly sell
action/shooters/RPG games and a few adventure games such as Syberia 1
and 2 , Myst Exile, Myst Revelation and a few others, but EB usually has
more varieity. I sometimes look in Staples, as there are three near
where I live (also 2 Future shops and two EB's)but there is an EB very
close by. I am not saying every single time that EB have better prices,
but they will usually price match, or they used to. I haven't been there
in a while because not many adventure games have come out. As for
Staples, some of their stores seem to carry more adventure games than
others, and they don't always have a variety of adventure games. You
really have to shop around.

I don't know of any great places to buy games in Toronto. I live in
Scarborough and mainly stick to areas not too far from me. I don't go
any futher west than Yonge St. I never go to the west end of the city,
and have no idea about the stores there. I imagine the prices are the
same all over the city. Staples and Future shop, Best buy stores all
have pretty standard prices for everything.

I played the demo a while back of Wanted, WEstern Adventure and I didn't
care much for it.
You can always download the demo and see for yourself. I was at Staples
Yonge St. between Sheppard and Finch last Thursday and didn't see
anything interesting. I bought Return to Mysterious Island there a
couple of weeks ago, but haven't played it yet.

I've found that the problem with doing this is, if you wait too long,
stores who sell the game you want, don't have it any more and don't seem
to get any more stock in. And the prices can take weeks or months to
come down, and sometimes don't come down in price that much. Syberia 1
and 2 were $39.99 for months after they came out, so I bought mine then.
It only went to $29.99 months later and is still that price if you can
find it. A few weeks ago, I saw Black Mirror, in Walmart and Staples in
a small package. the cardboard kind that folds out. I bought one of
those for my daughter. It was $12.88 Can. Its a good game. Look at some
reviews if you are interested.
I don't usually buy many games in Walmart as they don't have much
selection, but once in a while.
I bought American McGee's Alice there for $12.98. Its more
action/adventure, but I like it. I am a bargain hunter and look around,
but other times, I pay full price, depending on the game but haven't had
to pay more than $39.99 for quite a long time.

How did you know it was discontinued?
I never did play Runaway. I saw it a long time ago in EB, but didn't get
it. I couldn't make up my mind if I wanted it or not. A friend was going
to lend me her copy, but never did, so that was it.

Which EB did you finally get it at? what area of the city are you in?
