Part 1 of the build was late 2017
MSI x370 carbon mobo
16gb Gskill Trident Z ddr4 3200
Rhyzen 5 1600 3600ghz
DeepCool Captain 120ex
Asus 1060 6gb dual
Samsung 960 ev0 250gb for C drive
2 x 2tb and some other drives in Raid...can't remember.
2018 lightning and power problems at the house I rented led to having to emergency replace some things:
MSi x370 carbon replacement
Rhyzen 7 1700 3.0 ghz
2019 upgraded
Gskill Trident Z royal 32gb x 2 (total 64)
Samsung 970 evo 500gb for C
Samsung 960 as a drive to host current media to adobe
3 x 3tb 7200 in Raid 5
6tb standalone backup
So currently running
MSi x370 Carbon
DeepCool Captain 120ex
Gskill Trident Z royal 32gb x 2 (total 64)
Samsung 970 evo 500gb for C
Samsung 960 as a drive to host current media to adobe
3 x 3tb 7200 in Raid 5 (shows as 6tb with one failure tolerance)
6tb standalone backup done monthly
ASUS 1060 6gb dual
Quad monitors
Use:
I mostly do video production for youtube, business marketing, etc. Adobe Premiere functionality is my key need. Multi monitors is mostly used for trading I do 3-4 days per wk. I'd eventually like to go to 6-8 monitors for more view options of charts, but I can manage 4 for now.
PC runs great for now, but always looking to improve and the only real original part of the 2017 build is the graphics card. I'm going to experiment with a 50" 4:4:4 chroma LCD as my main (size will help with a lot of adobe editing functions...hopefully), supported with twin vertical oriented ASUS 27" 1970x1080 monitors, and a sceptre monitor in a fourth position close to me.
