looking a network solution for my laptop

I have a hp elitebook 6930p. The problem is that i cant connect to wifi netwok although the wifi senser on laptop is on(blue light), the wifi icon stil have a red cross it says... no connection..., also even if i plug in a modem no any connection to the network. Some one help me plz

may help if you have DVD with network drivers reinstall network drivers,otherways click on network icon bottom right hover mouse on it right click and select troubleshoot your network
