Question Looking at buying a laptop

How do these specs look for regular web browsing and gaming? i play some modern games but not usually the latest ones. im pretty sure it will work for me but i want a second opinion. it seems to go on sale for like $580 on best buy (usally $899).

HP Victus 15.6
RTX 3050 (6GB)
Intel i5 13420H
8GB of ram (i would upgrade it to 16)
144 Hz refresh rate
1080p

"Intel i5 3420H" is ancient.

A 3rd gen i5 does not go with a 3050 GPU.
