Looking for a 1440p monitor

I've been looking into a monitor with good visuals and decent response time, I've been thinking about Dell U2715H but I've checked some forums and people say that the response time creates ghosting and lag and generally feels unresponsive in FPS games. I can't decide which panel to get. Looking for a 1440p monitor. Can't decide about the panel yet so I'm asking the community. My budget is 500€. I've been using 24" 1080p TN panel for the past 4 years and I was unable to detect players in dark spots or in bushes, but my friend who has an IPS panel could easily.

The 24" version of the dell does not have these issues if you want to go that route, on sale for $350 right now. I have it and I exclusively play competitive FPS games and haven't had any issues.
