Hey my friend is looking for a gaming pc and neither of us know how to really put together one or choose appropriate parts so I am writing for help to see if someone can build a PC parts list for him.

His budget is $1500 AUD / $1079 USD for the PC including mouse, keyboard and a 27inch monitor specifically. He wishes for a intel and nvidia build. 1tb minimum HDD is also necessary. For the ram he says he is flexible either 8gb or 16gb if it fits the budget, but he prefers a better graphics card rather than ram as he will just be gaming. No overclock he does not want to worry about that.

If anyone can help I will be super grateful!

Something like this should do well within your budget... Just so you know, you could opt for an RX 580 8GB + FreeSync Monitor within your budget which would be a far better choice imo. But if you're strictly looking at Nvidia/Intel, this should be a good baseline. Buy a Windows key online for $10-20. Hope this helps! :)

must know first the intended monitor resolution, the bigger the monitor res the pricier GPU pair, 27" isn't how big the res, check the res (720p, 1080p), the pricier the GPU the pricier CPU will have to pair, normally Vega 64/GTX 1080 GPU should run well on $300-400 CPU (ryzen 2700 or i5 8600K) for 720p monitor so the equations are

$350 CPU + $650GPU + 720p
$450 CPU + $800GPU + 1080p

most games don't need more than 4GB RAM so pair of 4GB should be suffice,

you can try pugetsystem or maingear
