do i have to uninstall windows 7 of my hdd and re-install it on to a ssd or can i just have a ssd and a hdd without moving anything??????

Well if you have an SSD it lends itself to logic that you put your OS (Operating System, Win7)

on the SSD, so it'll load faster.

Well if you format everything, obviously yes.

You should be able to back up all relevant files though, to an external harddrive for example.
