Hello,

I've recently purchased an I7-7700k and built a pc around it. I only have one issue with it. The CPU cooler I have right now is useless while gaming. The temperatures of the system while being idle are around 45-50 but when I'm trying to play games, the temperatures rise up to 80/90. I'm really scared of damaging my CPU and would like help from you guys for me to pick up a new cooler. It can also be a watercooler. I was looking into the Corsair H45 water cooling system.. Don't know if that will be good as well though. I don't use the gamer boost option on my Motherboard. There's absolutely no lag but I want my pc to run cool.

The CPU cooler I'm using right now is the Gelid Solutions Siberian Pro.

My specs are:

Intel Core i7-7700k 4,2GHz
XFX Radeon HD 6870 Double Dissipation (I'll upgrade soon)
Corsair Vengeance 2x4GB DDR4
MSI Z170M Mortar Motherboard
Cooler Master K380 Case

I hope you guys can select a nice cooler which will fit in my case as well for around 30/50 euros.

Kind regards!

Missclick on the solution btw.. Umm I'm not going to overclock. I'm going to check if those systems fit in my case! Thank you for the quick answer.

Update:
The Cooler Master one won't fit in my case.. The other one will though. So purchasing a Corsair H45 will be just a waste of extra money right? Because I won't be overclocking.

If you're not going to be overclocking, an air cooler has plenty of muscle. If your budget was a bit higher, I'd look at Noctua for some of their low-profile solutions, since if the Evo won't fit in your case, their flagship coolers won't either.

Thank you for the replies.

I think I'll go for the H7 to be sure. I don't mind spending an extra buck, that's why.

I won't be buying a cheap water cooling system then.

Thanks!
