Hey guys! I've been going through a rocky upgrade of my pre-built ASUS M51BC.

I'm looking for a good aftermarket CPU cooler for my AMD fx 8300. Right now, under stress the cpu (with stock cooler) is running at 59-60c (running games like MKX and Shadow of Modor.)

Watching a video with a dual monitor setup, or streaming while I play is just not an option at this time because the CPU seems to heat up real quick and starts to go beyond the 60c safe zone.

here are my system specs:

CPU AMD FX 8300
Case Cooler Master N400
Mobo stock ASUS M51BC
GPU XFX Radeon R9 280x
RAM 12 gigs of 1600 mhz
PSU Corsair CX750M 750W
SSD Samsung 850 EVO 250GB (boots windows 10 64-bit)
HDD Toshiba DT01ACA200 2TB (boots windows 8.1 64-bit)

Any good suggestions would be much appreciated!

I was thinking of going liquid cooling with the Corsair H100i in mind. My case has two ports that are made for such a liquid cooler with a radiator of that size. thanks for the input. I've hear though that AMD builds are better with air cooling than liquid for various reasons.

I've also had a lot of friends suggest to go with liquid cooling.

Not too sure which way to go at this point.

I went from the stock AMD cooler to my H80i and it has performed great. I have my AMD Phenom II x4 955 running at 3.8 ghz.
