Looking For a Good Mic

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a PC mic so I can communicate with friends and teammates while gaming. I have a 5.1 surround sound system, so I want to avoid paying for redundancy and getting something like Turtle Beaches. I'm looking for something more like the one-ear design the Xbox 360 mic uses where I can use that for chat and my surround sound for game audio. Any suggestions? But it's a little steeper than what I want to pay when the Xbox mics are like $20.

Awesome, thanks for the insightful input.

My Xbox mic lasted as long as I've played my Xbox (~4 years). I'm hoping there's something comparable for PC, because I don't need anything fancier than that. If anyone has useful input or a link I would appreciate it.
