Looking for a good PC microphone

I'm looking for a good microphone to use for multiplayer gaming. Preferably something that I can plug into my sound card, don't really want a usb one but I don't want it to look like a typical microphone.

Do you use headphones? If you do, I would recommend the ModMic. It is farely inexpensive, and can be sticked to almost any pair of headphones. It is also easy to remove out of the way.

I don't like using headphones for gaming. I could just buy a Modmic and stick it on my desk though.

Good idea. Your other option would probably be a Blue Snowball mic, but those cost a bit (50$ used on Amazon). ModMics are not really designed for far away use, so keep that in mind. Also the Snowball uses USB, but has a very high quality sound card and quality.
