Looking for a graphics card for AMD FX 8350

MSI GTX 1060 , Asus strix 970 or 980 , gigabyte GTX 1060 or Radeon Rx 480 is suitable for AMD FX 8350 ??

it depends, you can get the 1060 but the gpu will not push it to the maximum, so the cpu will be a bottleneck, some fps will be wasted

if you plan on upgrading cpu, mainboard and ram, the 1060 has alot of sense

if not, if the machine will be kept like that for a long time, well, the 480 perhaps is better?

it depends on games and on display resolution you want to play on
if its 1080p display then anyone of them will be more than enough, so you can go for the cheaper one.

I run a strix 970 with mine they run well together but I only run at 1080p but get mostly 60fps on all my games, if however your thinking of higher resolutions you may want to look at the 10** cards

The 970/980 are old and already in legacy.
The RX480 and the 1060 are almost on par, but keep in mind that AMDs GPUs have the DX12/async advantage over Nvidias.
