Hello all, I'm looking to upgrade my mobile platform as next year I'll be starting college and I need a quality machine since I'm going into computer science and software engineering. I know I don't necessarily need a high performance platform but I do plan on editing content and playing games from time to time. Ideally I'd like something that will last. A long term investment so to speak. For that reason budget isn't that important but nothing ridiculous. The price tag of a used car is ridiculous to put towards a laptop. (Under 2000) My main restraint would be the ability to "Hackintosh" the system. Therefore an ssd for Mac OS and a HDD for Windows would be perfect. Also a CPU capable of installing Mac is necessary as I want a clean install rather than OS through VMWare. Of course also a good GPU for games at 1080p. Somthing small and compact is desirable for portability but I am willing to sacrifice. I'm interested to see what you all come up with. Thanks!
