What I'd like is a power strip to plug all these in to so that, while on, all USB devices plugged in would be connected to the computer. While off,it would deprive the AC outlets and USB ports of power not only from the wall, but also from the computer.

Basically, I have multiple light-producing devices in my room. Three monitors, a keyboard with backlit buttons as well as a mouse with backlit side buttons, and innumerable LED indicators. I'd like a single switch to be able to turn all of these off in one fell swoop.

The problem I have is that most power strips with USB ports have charging ports only. The only power strip with a USB hub in it I found (Macally power strip with USB hub) didn't have grounded outlets. (What the hell, seriously?) The easy solution I see is to plug a powered USB hub into a power strip to use that strip as a switch, but I'm not sure if the connection to the computer's power would persist, continuing to power the smaller light-producing peripherals.
