Looking for a reasonable GPU

Hi, i am looking for a good graphic card to use with my i5 4440. I want to build a gamer pc to get rid of my ps3 and just keep my computer. I am between the gtx 960 or the R9 280x. Which one should i choose? or i just have to wait and buy a 970 gtx? i dont usually play my videogames in the best resolution.

if you are at 1080p or lower then I would get a gtx 960

And do u think an i5 4440 is a good processor for the gtx 960? I am new with this stuff sorry.

absolutely. pretty much any i5 or 17 latest gen is a really good match for any gpu made after 2013
