Looking For A Replacement Laptop That Can Handle Two Seperate Purposes.

Hi, I’m new here so I apologize if this is in the wrong place.

However, I’m looking for a new laptop that’s under $1000. For the purposes of duel booting (former Mac user, haven’t used Windows since XP) with Linux Mint, I’m in school for cyber security and I have some programming classes coming up. Plus, I’m more familiar with Unix. I would also would like to be able to play Guild Wars 2 on the Windows partition and run Photoshop and Gimp respectively. If possible, I would like a touch screen to incorporate a stylus or at least 4 USB ports so I can attach a graphics pad.

Do you have any suggestions?

I’m currently looking at:
“HP - ENVY x360 2-in-1 15.6" Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Core i7 - 16GB Memory - 1TB Hard Drive

Is there a better, smarter, option? Thanks for your time!

Well check if you like Lenovo Yoga series, they have some great laptops. But that Envy is also a great laptop, but try to have an SSD, because you want to be able to boot quickly and also you want that Photoshop to run fast.
