Hi everyone,
Looking to build a gaming pc/workstation and hoping I can get help in the right direction with this build. We will be using it to run Vr games on a Htc Vive Pro, also wanting to run games at higher settings, Rainbow Six Siege, Battlefield V, and my wife wants to be able to photo/video edit and crafting (cricut and cameo). Would like to have to ability to run a second card in the future and have a bit of RGB LEDs if possible. My main concern is running the VR games smoothly at high settings. I appreciate the help!

I agree. I also don't think I would get a 9900K either - it's practically identical to the 9700K in every way except for a couple of extra threads, which you won't notice. This is what I would do for a high end setup:

Sorry I didn't even notice that. Thank you for the suggestions, I am definitely going with the updated SSD.

Memory doesn't make much of a difference with Intel so really anything from 2666 to 3200 would be fine. Those Flare X are advertised as memory for AMD however they should work. Personally I'd snag these for 3200/RGB.

Having a lower CAS latency does improve performance slightly but probably not enough to justify a additional $70.
