Hello,
Please help me choosing parts for building a computer for 3D modeling/graphic work (no gaming or any entertainment) mainly Rhino3D, Aspire pro, Blender and Adobe programs. I am thinking about using Quadro K4000 and keep it small, quiet and simple, thinking about Corsair 250D for case. I already have SSD and DVD drive, so I need to pick CPU, MOBO, Memory(16GB), PSU and maybe CPU cooler. The budget is about $1,400 excluding storage and optical drive.
I will appreciate any advice and help.
Thank you.

I would recommend going with this setup though it is quite higher than your budget. You will be getting one of the best systems which will ensure stability and perfect performance for many years. Probably you will not needing an upgrade for the next 3-4 years.

If you think it is way out of your budget limits, let me know so that I can try and work something out.
Well a mITX motherboard will be able to support only up to 16GB of RAM so you will not be having the flexibility for future upgades. I would recommend going for the next larger case of the obsidian series which is the 350D. It is a beautiful and small piece of art that I personally admire.

Thank you so much. It is a little too much over my budget but still doable.
Could you explain what advantage Asus Maximus has over other cheaper boards? I'm not thinking about OC, would it be still worth?

Well the gene is probably one of the best motherboards ib the mATX range. It has great quality mosfets and capacitors which make it suitable for extreme and offers a great bunch of features. On the other hand, if you will not be overclocking then you can go for a cheaper solution.

Thank you for the answer. Could you look at the list below and see if this would work well enough? and will I need a CPU cooler if I'm using mITX case?

No I don't think it is necessary though it would definitely not be a disadvantage having a cooler. The problem with mITX motherboards is that they can support only up to 16GB of ram so you will not be able to carry out any future upgrades (it can also accommodate only 2 ram modules).. Furthermore, it is best to go for higher frequency ram modules since you will be benefited from the extra frequency.

If I settle with Xeon E3 3.4G, Quadro 4000, 16GB Memory, 250D with no OC or future upgrade, what do you think about using basic motherboard like ASRock B85M? Would it be compromising in terms of performance and stability, not features?
Thank you so much.

Well yeah you will get the basic features. The only drawback is that the B85 chipset supports only up to 1600Mhz. So you won't be able to go higher than that, which I would definitely recommend.

You can have a look by yourself on the various features provided by different CPUs:
