Hi all,

I am looking for any processor that will do better than the one I have right now, but I'm thinking I am extremely limited with options. So far I've only been able to come up with one option, but I don't believe it's available to purchase unless I get it used.

Also, my biggest nagging question regards TDP. What is it exactly, and am I limited to only a selection of processors that have 95W TDP?

My computer is an HP Pavilion p7-1054
Motherboard: N-Alvorix-RS880-uATX
CPU: AMD Athlon II 645

Lastly, this is a giant link directly to my motherboard's technical specifications: http://h20566.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/kb/docDisplay/?spf_p.tpst=kbDocDisplay&spf_p.prp_kbDocDisplay=wsrp-navigationalState%3DdocId%253Demr_na-c02560084-8%257CdocLocale%253D%257CcalledBy%253D&javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken

Thank you!

Solution
Plainly put, this was a cheap PC just to have 'to get you on the Internet', nothing more. It is a dead end PC and your only solution is to replace the whole box, which the costs depend on what your demands are for it.
these are the processors HP says you can use;
Max TDP: 95W
Motherboard supports the following processor upgrades:
NOTE: Only Socket AM3 processors are supported with this motherboard.
AMD Phenom II X6 10xxT Six-Core (Thuban core)
AMD Phenom II X4 9xx/9xxe/8xx Quad-Core (Deneb core)
AMD Phenom II X3 7xx/7xxe Triple-Core (Heka core)
AMD Phenom II X2 5xx (Callisto core)
AMD Athlon X4 6xx/6xxe (Propus)
AMD Athlon X3 4xx/4xxe (Rana)
AMD Athlon X2 2xx/2xxe (Regor)
AMD Sempron Single Core 1xx (Sargas core)

Most OEM limit these by their bios. If you replace the motherboard, again being an OEM system, you will need a need operating system as theirs is tied to the motherboard.
