I want to buy a 64GB SSD for Win10 OS on my new Ryzen build coming up next month, but I want an SSD with the best NAND flash cycle reliability, nothing cheapo. Why only 64? I am happy with, and still use my 2TB standard drive, and a 64GB will not only be cheaper fitting into my build budget, but will serve my needs, which is having the best OS performance and boot experience.

Solution
On my system:

500GB 850 EVO boot drive.
Currently, 222GB used space.
Discount 49.2GB of Steam games (most are on a different drive)
Discount 49GB in the Users folder (some doc/download/etc)

That is still well over 120GB just for the OS and applications.

No.
Absolute minimum, 120GB.
Preferable, 250GB.

A 64GB drive WILL fill up far faster than you think. Even if you take great pains to limit it to 'only the OS'.
Which you should not do anyway...you WANT your applications on it as well, to also use that SSD speed.

What about the PNY-CS1311 120GB? I just want an SSD with the most reliable flash cycles for longer use.

So far I am at $423. I am going with a Tomahawk MOBO by MSI, and I might just go with a Ryzen 1400 because I have no use for more than 4 cores since I only game, and it saves around 40 bucks for an SSD. As well as a set of Team Force 2x4GB DDR4.

At Amazon, that drive is $58. The 250GB version is $85.
Twice the space for $27 more.

And a larger drive has a longer lifespan, and is actually slightly faster.

first , I recommend getting at least 120GB SSD if not 256GB... and 64GB is not recommended at all.

but having said that, if you really cant pay for 120GB SSD , you can still use a smaller 64GB SSD and use it as a cache disk for your harddisk . it will boot faster and run programs faster the more you use them.

I can't believe there are actually still 64GB SSDs available out there. The last time I bought one of those was in 2010, and that was when 32GB SSDs were the norm for the early SSD adopters. I mean seriously - there are 256GB USB flash drives out now for $50.
