Looking for best low budget RAM

I currently have 4gb, and would like to upgrade to 8GB but I have no idea what kind of RAM is good etc. Anyone have cheap prices but also give you good performance? Thanks.

Cheap is usually lower priced than the norm or the lowest price available - but in order to even make a guess would need some idea of that you want it for - i.e. what mobo, CPU you want to put it in

Well my CPU is an i3 2100 and i'm not sure how to check my mobo but I know it's as rock.
