The base price for the parts is $900, I used a pricey mobo and RAM. I can knock of a few bucks if you need me to. I could also do an AMD build. Intel is better at gaming than AMD. AMD is better at stuff like rendeing, etc.

EDIT:
Base price of $808.53. better processor cheaper parts.
You could add a GTX 970 GPU for a base price of $925.53

thank you very much

Those builds have issues and done really make sense here. The first build you posted has a locked CPU but a high end motherboard and cooler for overclocking? Why? Also crazy tall RAM that will almost certainly interfere with the cooler installation. Then the bottom build with an unlocked CPU but a junk for overclocking motherboard. On this budget a locked i5 and an h96 board is the correct decision. It allows for a gtx970 on the $800 budget and will beat the pants off the builds posted above with gtx 760's.

For $800 ish get this for sure:

I'm not too worried about overclocking as this is just a budget gaming pc for guests and what not. Thank you all for the help

Yeah, I do like the build. Seems effective, thank you for the help.
