looking for CD drive

I have a ACER ASPIRE E1-470P it doesn't come with a CD drive built in but looks as if it will have a port on the side for on installed is there or can I get a CD drive installed in it please help.........

No - you'll have to use an external CD drive.

Why would it have a CD drive tray that pops out and it looks like a optical plug for a drive connection

So its cheap. Its common with the version that has the cd drive. But they don't sell the drive separately. They don't want you to upgrade. They want you to buy a new laptop.

So I found a supposedly optical drive on eBay that would go in it . So would I be able to slide it in
