Thanks Rogue Leader, but I don't want a reffurbed unit, I want to get new.

By the way, the Lenovo that is $449 on Newegg and has an i5 is the one I'm interested in. I'm worried though about the SSD for the main drive. Are SSD's as reliable as HDD's?

Oh sorry about that I thought you had a refurb one linked before. Anyway I would venture to say SSDs are MORE reliable than HDDs. No moving parts to fail.

Did you check out USAFRet's links above, Amazon has some good deals.

Guys we got the one from Newegg with an I5, 250 ssd, 8 gigs ram, etc. It's a Lenovo and is VERY fast. The boot takes 2 seconds about and the browser opens very quickly also! My mom is loving it!

She mostly plays Solitaire and was disappointed with the ADWARE games that came bundled. I download and installed Winaero Win 7 games that includes Mahjong, Spider, freecell, etc. She's happy again!

Very nice little comp. for $449!

Nice!

Whenever I get a new PC or install a fresh copy of the operating system, first thing I do is immediately remove all the bloatware / adware. Makes things so much better.
