Looking for feedback on my build before I starting purchasing parts

Hey everyone! I have been doing a lot of research and I think I have chosen the right components for a good build. The most resource intensive task will be running Battlefield 4 at 1440p.

The questions I have are:

1. Is the monitor adequate to run 1440p without bottlenecking my system?

2. Will the aftermarket fan be sufficient to OC?

3. Is the motherboard I chose too expensive? Is there a cheaper one that will work just as well?

4. Is the PSU too high? Can I get away with a lower wattage? The estimated is 428W, and I'm not sure how much I will need to OC.


Also, if I can save money on any of the components by getting a cheaper alternative it would be much appreciated!

1. That monitor is 1080p...so no, it won't display at 1440p.
2. Yes, EVOs do a fine job of overclock cooling, just don't be tryin to hit any records with it.
3. I don't recommend MSI...I'd recommend something like this:

4. You can tone it back on the PSU to something like 650W or so, and that would still give you plenty of headroom.

If you really like the Corsair Vengeance (who can blame you), consider the low profile version (Vengeance LP), otherwise you're bound to run into clearance issues with the EVO. (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233359)
