Looking for a graphics card within 200-250$ price range. I was considering the msi gtx 1060 but I can't decide. My set up is i5 5500 with a gtx 750 ti (my bottleneck) and a 550 power supply. I'm newer to PC so I need help.

Okay, do you have specific games you intend on playing? I am not someone who disses the use of AMD's GPU's but depending on your full intentions with the graphics card, the GTX 1060 might be better. If you're even considering doing any video editing on an application like Premiere Pro, I'd suggest the GTX 1060. My recommendation overall is the GTX 1060, however do some research and see if the types of games you play are more GPU heavy or CPU heavy, and if AMD / Nvidia has the better overall performance.
Within your price range you are looking at a GTX 1060 6GB or RX 480 8GB. Those are essentially the two options you have at that price point--the 480 8GB versions start a bit cheaper than the 6GB variants do from NVidia, and they are comparable in performance.
