Looking for help hooking up equipment

CD player only has 1red&1white home theater has 2of each trying to hook both to a Vizio flat screen how do I do this

as you did not post models of tv or hardware. look at the tv and the receiver. most new tv have a digital audio output cable port. you want to plug that port into your sound bar or home theater. on the back of the tv if there analog inputs for a gaming system or dvd there should be three ports next to each other a yellow one and red and white. you want to connect your dvd player to that port on the tv. if the dvd player has hdmi it should play audio through hdmi port. some of the newer tv now have digitail audio in. take the digital audio from the dvd player in. if you have just and old cd player then use the port on the back of the revicer that says cd or aux input.
