I have two mice (both are Microsoft Mobile Mouse 4000) and mouse #1's usb is broken but the usb for mouse #2 is fine. I was wondering if I could change the usb of mouse #2 to be able to communicate with mouse #1 since #1 is basically brand new, but the usb for it is broken. Mouse #2 is very worn and I want to reuse mouse #1. Sorry if the title was confusing!
And thanks for the help.

update: These mice are wireless.

So, if you read the quick start guide on the support site (http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/p/wireless-mobile-mouse-4000#support) it looks like the way you pair it is how it's illustrated under the "i" section.

Regardless, yes, there should a way to sync the the receiver to the mouse.

The quick start is just showing how to eject the mouse. Thanks for the advice anyway
