Looking for help with my Sandisk Cruzer Glide 128 GB flash drive that failed and can't recover important data.!!!,,,,HELP.!!!

I have problem with a Sandisk Cruzer Glide and the only way to retrieve the data from it I'm being told is to send it to a professional data recovery group which will cost about $600 us. to do so because the flash drive is 128 GB but who has the extra money these day's well anyway I'm interested in knowing if you ever found a solution for your flash drive data recovery issue, and if so may I know of that solution.?,, well I'm not sure if this thread is still active but if not and this gets to you please send me an email at EMAIL Redacted by Moderator so I can try and resolve my data recovery issue, thanks in advance.!!! Well from what I understand is that it will not show up at all, it's a 2 month old drive (which is fully replaceable through the manufacturer) but I need to retrieve my work (data) off it first and they do not recover media for you only replace and or recommend a group that will recover data but they want to charge me nearly $600 for that and I also understand that this happens sometimes that the drivers for the flash drive will not load properly which makes it stop working; anyway all my other flash drives work properly still but not this one and I tried it in many other systems windows 10, 8, and 7 and nothing.!!!

How did it brake? Is it just a error or is the circuit board broke?

Thanks but I've tried all kinds of data recovery programs an none can retrieve data of the flash drive because it isn't being recognized by the system so it can't find what the system doesn't show, but thank you so much for the advice.!!!

Well that's not such a stupid reply at all because from doing some online research including a bit on YouTube I'm seeing that the USB connections sometimes fail, meaning that the solder comes apart and I seen how one guy in Hawaii is making videos on how he retrieves data of any type of memory device and most often than none the failing flash drives are coming unsoldered and causing issues like this but the problem is I'm not exactly sure how to do what they do and not mess it up even more, and if I work on it myself it voids the warranty which I don't really care at this point because the data is more to me than the cost of the flash drive; however, if I make a mistake I could mess up the very same data I need and be out the replacement to boot.!!!

Well that's not such a stupid reply at all because from doing some online research including a bit on YouTube I'm seeing that the USB connections sometimes fail, meaning that the solder comes apart and I seen how one guy in Hawaii is making videos on how he retrieves data of any type of memory device and most often than none the failing flash drives are coming unsoldered and causing issues like this but the problem is I'm not exactly sure how to do what they do and not mess it up even more, and if I work on it myself it voids the warranty which I don't really care at this point because the data is more to me than the cost of the flash drive; however, if I make a mistake I could mess up the very same data I need and be out the replacement to boot.!!!

Don't worry learning how to solder is easy. Just make sure u don't put a huge glob of it on there. U don't want to connect solder to other solder meant for something else, that can cause a problem. Although I've vpnever soldered a USB before and never done it on a flash drive either.

Ur welcome. Just remember don't let the solder u melt connect (get on) other solder or u create what I think is called a bridge. But u should be fine. Just watch a couple videos on soldering, it's simple.

Bring the drive to a local PC shop, if it needs the USB connection fixed they can do it for a lot less than $600.

That's great advice but the PC shops near me will not touch it while it's under warranty and the other places distant from me want me to send it to them with no guaranty that they can fix it let alone retrieve the data but what they do guaranty is they want the cash no matter what, even if they don't solve my problem and I'm not sitting well with that option what so ever.!!!

Um... Ruin... The... Warranty... Who cares if u spent like $20 on a drive, it your info u need right now. Let's just say, keep spare files of the same thing on ur pc for later, and on a flash drive. Now u said "pc shops near me won't touch it while it's in warranty" u do know its ur drive and u do what u want to with it. If u want them to fiddle with it just tell them u don't care about the warranty.
