Looking for help with upgrading my PC

Hi i have a gtx 1060 6gb, when i look it up people seems to have more performance (fps) in games with the same graphic cards, i'm assuming that i need to upgrade with something else but i dont know which one i should upgrade it to. here is my current specs

OS: Windows 10
Ram 32 GB (unknown brand, its cheap)
Processor intel core i5 6400 2.7 Ghz
Hard Drive 1 TB
SSD 120GB.
MB Asus B150M-A D3
Power supply Super Flower 550W
Graphics card GTX 1060 6GB.

pls tell me if the issue is not on my specs afterall

What games are you playing, on what settings, and what frame rates are you seeing? What frame rates do you think you should be seeing?

i would get an rx 480 with 8 gigs of ram if i was you , saphirre preferably
since there's not much you can do in regards to your cpu and motherboard

Definitely the CPU. 2.7 for video games isn't much. It'll do, but not to get max performance out of your 1060. RAM won't matter much. But get that CPU up. 3.4 ghz or more.

I would suggest an I5 6600k. I7 won't give you much more gaming wise, but almost 100 bucks cheaper than the I7 6700k that i have. Definitely CPU thats slowing you down. Also an SSD would help, not much, mainly loading times, but a HDD will do.

CSGO, on max settings, 180-120, 300-200. i dont even reach this many fps like in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4tJDiBDVho on any settings

i think changing the GPU is out of the question to be honest

It comes from personal experience going from AMD cpu's to my I7 6700k. I realized how much my 8350 bottlenecked my 1070. Huge FPS change.

IMHO, 120 FPS is more than the human eye can distinguish, and my eyes are pretty fussy about things. My reaction would be to change nothing. But that's just me.
