Hey Guys,

i am creating myself a new system after using my old Shuttle for 5 Years and would like to hear some opinions.

The idea is to build a system that is future proof, overclockable, silent and upgradeable. I dont want to spend more than 1800$ (2000Can$)

Here what i think to get:

Antec P193 ATX Tower Case
EVGA X58 ATX LGA1366
Intel i7 920
Arctic Silver Premium Silver Thermal Adhesive
Coolit Systems Domino CPU Water Cooling
Corsair XMS3 TR3X6G1600C9 or Mushkin XP XP3-12800 6GB DDR3 3X2GB DDR3-1600 CL 7-8-7-20 Triple Channel Memory Kit
Enermax ERV1050EWT REVOLUTION85+
EVGA GeForce GTX 275 633MHZ 896MB 2.26GHZ DDR3 PCI-E Dual DVI-I HDTV Out Video Card
Western Digital WD1001FALS Caviar Black 1TB
Samsung SH-S223F/BEBS 22X Speed Plus
Steelseries IRON.LADY Ikari Laser White High Precision Gaming Mouse & Qck Cloth Mouse Pad

I am a gamer and want to be able to SLi the system later.

I would greatly appreciate any input and recommendations. I might add a 25.5 inch Asus monitor to that.

BTW i chose EVGA parts for the lifetime warranty which i absolutety love.

Thanks

Arkon

Get this powersupply, it is probably the best one out in its class, and very reasonably priced. It also fits the P193, one of only 3 cases it can fit in. It will be able to handle two GTX 275 or GTX 285's in SLI if you chose

Don't get that Cheap watercooler...on water cooling you either go big or not at all. A good air cooler will do a better job. Look at something like this:

Those mushkin ram modules are some of the best out, I would go with those.

I would also get the P6T Deluxe V2 instead, it is very user friendly and rated better than the EVGA.

Get A GTX 285 if you can, a GTX 275 might be a little too light for some games on a 19x12 res monitor.

Thanks for the tips,
i was wondering about the watercooling myself but after reading several great different reviews from guru3D, hardwarcanucks and OverClockers Club, this watercooler seems to outdo even Thors Hammer, the downside is a little noise under full load which the P193 should be able to absorb.

The PSU you recommended is not available at DirectCanada ATM, but if that comes up it might open up the funds to actually go for the GTX 285.

With the Graphics i will look at the prices in the next two weeks until i get the money (gonna sell some HP shares), we will see what impact the GTX 275 and the 4890 will have on the market. Also i will wait for Toms April best Graphis for the buck report.

Good to know about the memory than mushkin it will be.

I think i gonna stick with the EVGA board, slightly better perfomance and user friendly vs lifetime warranty, i will have to go for the warranty.

thx
