Approximate Purchase Date: This week

Budget Range: ~$1600.00 (before rebates; after shipping)

System Usage from Most to Least Important: 3D work (modeling, rendering, etc.), gaming

Are You Buying a Monitor: Yes

Do You Need to Buy OS: No

Location: United States

Parts Preference: I would prefer an AMD CPU

Overclocking: No

SLI or Crossfire: No

Additional Comments: I'm pretty comfortable with this build, but I thought I'd check here if anyone had any suggestions before I start placing orders. In particular, I'm a little iffy on motherboards - I understand what I need from other components, but with this one I don't really know. The CPU fits and it has the slots/ports that I need, but aside from that all I really have to go off of are reviews and prices (don't want to skimp on it, but I don't want to spend $500 on a mb either).

I'm a little worried about the memory too. It isn't on the motherboard's "verified" list and I don't want to run into any problems while setting everything up. Unfortunately most of the 32 GB kits on the list were either unavailable or extremely costly.

A couple of other points - I don't care about lights, I won't be overclocking anything, and fan/cooling noise doesn't particularly matter to me. The most important part of the GPU is the VRAM size (for view port rendering in various 3d programs), and I don't care about RTX. I'm going with Ryzen 7 3700x because it can handle CPU rendering and simulation decently, and can eventually be upgraded to a Ryzen 9 if I don't die from the plague (can't afford one now). I will look into aftermarket cooling for the CPU later on, (I'll be running all cores at 99% for hours at a time), but right now my priority is to get the machine put together and functioning.

Solution
Better build for less moeny. X570 is pointless unless you have a specific application or use that can take advantage of PCIe4 bandwidth.

Changed you rPSU, 850 is overkill.

Gave you a 5700XT instead of the 5700

Got you faster RAM.
