[SOLVED] Looking for motherboard suggestions. Budget up to $300

Heyo. So i've been having issues with my motherboard (most likely, narrowed it down, hard annoying stupid adventure).

Anyways i wanna replace it. I currently have a b450 tomahawk max and I thought since that's a couple years old now, instead of just getting another one of those i'd get something better / newer.

Motherboards are like the one thing I don't understand on computers and what means what n what's better etc etc. Seems really confusing n like a lot to me.

Wi-Fi on it would be a plus but not at all necessary as i currently have an external wifi adapter atm. (don't have bluetooth though, not that I'll use it much, if at all)

B550 is the current gen, there isn't one after it. There's the X570 but you don't need that, it's purely for overclocking and you don't sound like an overclocker to me.

A great B550 board is the ASUS TUF B550 PLUS

it's only around $155 on Amazon

https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-TUF-B550-PLUS-Motherboard-Addressable/dp/B088W57M4J

For $20 more you can get the WIFI version:

https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-TUF-B550-PLUS-Motherboard-Addressable/dp/B08F9LP42S

You can't really get much better than these boards for the CPU you have. If you spend more all you are getting is better overclocking features which, as I said earlier, you don't need.
something to consider is if you plan on upgrading the CPU in the future.
also list the amount of SATA ports needed and if you plan on multiple M.2s at any point.
I probably will slowly upgrade as I can. And recently learning about M.2 I think that would definitely be on the list.

As for SATA ports, I am not too sure on that front. SATA is mostly just for hard drive space right? Like adding more SSD's? I'm not usually one to have a lot of space needed. I am running fine on just my 256 SSD when it comes to space.

So i'm currently eyeing the ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F Gaming motherboard. Seems to have pretty good reviews but I did see one review that said maybe it's a little pricey for a b550? I think i'm dumb cause I couldn't find what the next gen after b550 is. Anyways i'm eyeing this instead of just another b450 tomahawk max

Weird question... Why does the one without wifi have 4000 mhz memory speed and the one with has 2666 mhz?

Anyways this is definitely looking like an option. Just curious on that weird difference.

I'm definitely thinking i'm going to get this.

It has more ports and usb slots which is nice and it seems a little bit more upgrade proof. But i wanted the opinion if this is actually better and actually upgrade proof, given it's the same chipset.

So.....
Asus ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING (WI-FI) ATX AM4 Motherboard

vs

ASUS TUF Gaming B550-PLUS
