Looking for new computer

I like playing computer games but i kinda suck at computers.

I want to get a computer that runs bf4 1080p ultra. And it has to be as cheap as possible.

I can take CPU-cooler, harddrives, computer case and windows from my old one.

So i need MB, PSU, CPU, GC and RAM.

I want to overclock CPU a bit.

Need a budget also need the CPU cooler from your old one if you plan on reusing it.

My cooler is scythe katana 4 and i dont have an exact budget, I just want to enjoy games!! And dont want to waste my money. But if u want some kind of budget... hmmm $900 And the less it costs the better

My friend said i would be just fine with an fx-8320 and r9 280x. And it would cost about $90 less for me. And he also said 280x performs even better than 770.

Is he right??

The FX-8320 (OC to 8350 levels pretty easily as well) will work just fine for games but the 770 is faster than the 280x usually cheaper too
