I'm currently using a Ryzen 7 (TDP 65W) with an RTX 3050 6GB (TDP 70W) and don't really plan on going (much, if at all) beyond that. I prefer relatively quiet, stable and energy saving systems over the "full size" gaming rigs.
However, long story short: My Corsair HX520 (which I love) is probably around 15 years old at this point. It seems to still work flawlessly. BUT: The PC was in a smokers room for a very long time and the fan became somewhat audible in the past years. Since I don't expect a fan to remain silent and well running after 15 years of smoke-dust, I guess I should start considering a replacement.
So, what could I look for? I checked the forum here and the pinned threads, especially the one which details the quality of e.g. Corsair. But I did notice that most of the stuff that's considered great quality seems to start way above 500W, which is obviously total overkill for my system. I'd guess even the 500W are more than generous already. I'd love to get me another Corsair, since this one served me well, but seems like top notch models do not exist in this power range.
Any suggestions?
