Question Looking for PSU - Quiet, excellent quality, modular, probably around 500W

I'm currently using a Ryzen 7 (TDP 65W) with an RTX 3050 6GB (TDP 70W) and don't really plan on going (much, if at all) beyond that. I prefer relatively quiet, stable and energy saving systems over the "full size" gaming rigs.

However, long story short: My Corsair HX520 (which I love) is probably around 15 years old at this point. It seems to still work flawlessly. BUT: The PC was in a smokers room for a very long time and the fan became somewhat audible in the past years. Since I don't expect a fan to remain silent and well running after 15 years of smoke-dust, I guess I should start considering a replacement.

So, what could I look for? I checked the forum here and the pinned threads, especially the one which details the quality of e.g. Corsair. But I did notice that most of the stuff that's considered great quality seems to start way above 500W, which is obviously total overkill for my system. I'd guess even the 500W are more than generous already. I'd love to get me another Corsair, since this one served me well, but seems like top notch models do not exist in this power range.

Any suggestions?

That's quite true.

You may have to settle for 650.

Within the last 3 months, I saw a couple of recommendations for higher quality low wattage units, but I did not make note of them. Much to my consternation.

Generally...I'd look at Seasonic and Super Flower. No doubt other posters may make specific recommendations?

Maybe the Seasonic Focus GM 550. I think it is semi-modular. Maybe you insist on "full modular" for some reason?

Above Corsair is I think 750 watt, but has a decent rep and is often on sale.

I'll be following this thread for my own sake as I may need a new PSU myself.

You were smart to buy a psu with a good warranty.
A good warranty is one good clue as to quality.
Look to Corsair rm and Seasonic focus/vertex for example.
Extra strong is good, first, it allows for a future graphics card upgrade, the most common component needing an upgrade.
Next the psu can loaf in the middle third of it's range where it is most efficient. The fan may actually not need to run.
Today's graphics cards can have high demand peaks, well above the nominal power draw.
+/- 10w is usually a small cost differential.

Two to look at for starters:
Seasonic vertex GX-750 with a 10/12 year warranty:
