Attempting to hunt down a reliable semi-modular to modular 750w psu for my machine. Unfortunately I have what is best described as a 'hobbled budget' that's essentially bound to 60$ and under for that wattage.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good 750w psu in that price range and a decent breakdown as to average hours of operation in the psu's lifespan. Would also like the maximum continuous draw.

Have looked at some of the more generic brands as... that budget seriously puts all platinum/gold/silver and almost all bronze out if reach and have seen a lot of horror stories about them about blowing out and catching on fire.

Any recommendation with literature provided would be wildly appreciated.

Your a few days late unfortunately, Newegg had a black Friday/cyber Monday deal on the Corsair 750x for $70 after rebates. But, I'll do some digging to try to find one that's modular in your price range, give me a few minutes.

Actually, you will. A lot.
Corsair CX and CXM units are tier 4 units, they use low quality capacitors that tend to fail under load. If you keep the unit lightly stressed (IE far below 750w) then they would be fine, put load on it and they dont last long. There are many thread posts that will tell you the same thing.

Occasionally see the Rosewill ARC-750 ARC 80+ bronze for around the price range I was looking for. Is there any reason to avoid it?

Hmm, will keep an eye on it. Can live without modular but it'd be seriously preferred. The 750w is not negotiable.

That is the cheapest 750w unit I recommend, modular or not lol. Deals come and go, but anything from XFX, EVGA (B2, G2, GS), or Corsair RMi or RMX would be good.
What are your specs anyway?
I know you say its not negotiable, but quality of the unit matters.
