Looking for ram for my P5QPL-AM motherboard

Hello,

I currently only have 4gb of ram on my motherboard, an Asus P5QPL-AM (yes I know its bad but I dont have a lot of money) and I want to upgrade to 8gb of ram or even 6gb if needed but I dont know which sticks to buy,

could someone help me with my choice?

Thanks, if im looking on other sites, how do I know which ram is for a server and which ram is for desktops?

I don't know much about ram but i'm pretty sure that is server ram. Server ram is different from desktop ram and I don't think server ram works on desktop motherboards(like i said i'm not entirely sure). Also server ram is much more expensive the regular desktop ram so unless you really really need it I would just stick with the page I linked to you above.

The DRAM you show, the Kingston, is ECC DRAM - you want non-ECC, in 2x4GB might look at
