Hi there. I want to know if anyone can build a custom Dell or Hp up with windows Xp Professional, Intel's Core 2 Extreme QX6850 processor, and Nvidia Geforce GT740 2GB Video Card? I want to build a high end computer around Windows XP 32 bit. Not interested upgrades above XP.

I'm trying to have a super bad, fast pc built. but don't have anyone who can do it here in Montgomery,AL. I will pay whatever fees. Please no asus or acer pc or components at all. Only Dell or HP.

The main problem with Windows XP 32 bit is that it only supports 4 GB of RAM. Scroll down to Windows XP on the page of Microsoft:
https://msdn.microsoft.com/de-de/library/windows/desktop/aa366778(v=vs.85).aspx
to check the amount of RAM supported by different versions of XP. Which already severely limits how much "high-end" such a system could be.

As some new games already are using 64bit they won’t run on a 32bit system either.

Sorry guy, but I do not see that happening. Check out the specs of the motherboards able to handle that CPU and video card. See any mention of XP compatibility? Drivers? If you want XP you have to be willing to settle for hardware that is not the latest'n'greatest. You want a supercomputer, its Linux.

I think you'll do better if you're clear about what you want. You can't build a high-end PC with these components, you shouldn't be installing Windows XP on a new build, and nobody can "build" a Dell or HP PC but Dell or HP. I'm not local, but any local builder is going to have the same concerns about your requests.

Never fear and don't listen to the naysayers. They make it sound impossible when it really isn't which just makes information on running Windows XP on a modern computer even more thin on the ground because it discourages people like you and me who dream of such a setup. For example, XP 64-bit isn't great, but it does exist. This guy had the same idea: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-3026670/building-absolute-fastest-computer-compatible-bit-windows.html while being more conservative with some of his hardware choices. As a matter of fact, there are still enthusiasts who go even further like those on hwbot running Windows XP on Skylake and X99 with GTX 980Ti's. GTX 7** cards were the last Nvidia officially supported, but Maxwell is the last gen where the drivers actually still work as shown in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwWrxu84hDw and http://mattpilz.com/windows-xp-drivers-nvidia-geforce-gtx-970-980-980-ti-titan-x/.

So the build you're after is possible (though I'm not sure about your insistence on Dell or HP OEM), but you're probably going to have to do it yourself unless you have a friend who just loves building systems and tinkering. If you want something done, you've got to do it yourself because people don't want to listen to the customer. The type of person that is after something like this is usually proficient by way of necessity because no one's willing to help them out just for nostalgia. The question is not whether it's feasible but whether it's worth your personal time and effort trawling XP holdout forum threads. If you do decide to go through with it, I hope to see the results.

The problem with your answer about how it is possible is that you completely ignore that the original poster specifically wanted a build with Windows XP 32-bit and what you suggest ignores that and offers a solution with Windows XP 64-bit.

I think you are all " highjacking the topic" because you all misreading his needs.

OP clearly states
want to know if anyone can build a custom Dell or Hp up with windows Xp Professional, Intel's Core 2 Extreme QX6850 processor, and NVidia GeForce GT740 2GB Video Card?

this is NOT 6,7,8th gen Cpus were talking here. Duo Core 2 Extreme 6850 is like 9 years old. and a GT 740 Video card is far from being anything related to high end currently.

the man need someone to build him the best possible Hp or Dell XP box, (I would suggest x64 as well because of no memory limitation)

The Answer sure it can be done easily and quickly, what is your budget?, and you do realize the shipping alone will be for a full blow pc about 90$
when you can walk into a fry's electronic store and get a duo core 2 dell for like 85$ just change cpu, and put the gt740 in it for a few more dollars (or have fry's electronic counter do it for you) and cost you almost nothing for it and have local store warrantee/exchange, install windows XP x32 or x64 (*if mem over 4GB*) and enjoy.

I'm sorry because my intention was not to hijack the topic. The way I see it OP wanted a high end Windows XP computer that's a super bad, fast PC and simply listed one possible configuration. I just wanted him to be aware of his options like not leaving out the suggestion of an SSD which would've been rare back then. If you want to be really specific, Windows XP 64-bit is actually XPfied Windows 2003 Server. However, he can still have what he wants with good old 32-bit XP Pro; more experienced people (https://www.betaarchive.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=36597) can explain it better than I can. Windows XP set the record for a Skylake based processor (http://news.softpedia.com/news/intel-skylake-overclocked-to-7ghz-on-windows-xp-monster-pc-with-ln2-cooling-499995.shtml).
